Family relationships mean the most to me. That doesn’t mean it’s always been easy. In fact, sometimes those relationships are the most challenging to help us learn to communicate better, forgive, love, serve, and become less selfish.
Pure relationships bring the JOY promised of the Lord. I think that most of us desire those, even if we don’t currently have them.
I remember hearing once that ‘your childhood may not have been good but you can provide a good one for your own children’. The same would seem to be true for marriage, sibling or friend relationships.
Perhaps the things in life that provide the most rewards are also those that require the greatest cost or work. If we want love in our homes and families, we have to have that love, even if that requires years to attain, and much forgiveness to offer.
